September has begun; Shaban begins in a few hours and that means that it's not long until Ramadan inshaAllah. I can't wait...I just want to submerge myself completely...I want to have more than the last ten days off work. There's so much that I want in life, so much more that to do. But my life is on hold for just one reason. Why can't I move on...why can't I go jet-skiing...paragliding...skiing...why can't I do a tandem jump for charity? Why can't I climb Machu Picchu, why can't I fly over Angel Falls, why can't I feel the heat of the pure white sands of the Maldives on my forehead? Just one reason. We can but pray. "When My servants ask about Me, I am indeed close to them. I listen to the prayer of every supplicant, when he calls on Me. Let them also, with a will, listen to My call, and believe in Me, so that they may walk in the right way" (Qur'an 2:186). May Allah swt guide us to listen to His call, as only then will we succeed, and achieve what we wish, ameen, ameen, thumm ameen.
