Anyone in the UK who even watches an inkling of TV will have seen the Kenco Cappio adverts. I don't watch much TV at all, but I have seen the Kenco Cappio advert once or twice. Hey, advertising does work as I was foolishly convinced to buy one after just those few moments of visual de-stimulation. Today, Barbara found them at work and brought over the last one for me; we chilled it in the fridge coupled with the insulin...and had a taste an hour or so later. Before I describe how it tasted I shall list the ingredients for this 'Iced Cappucino' ie 'Coffee Flavour Drink made with Milk, Cream and Instant Coffee': Water, Condensed Skimmed Milk (15%), Cream(10%), Sugar, Caramelised Sugar, Instant Coffee (0.6%), Flavouring, Milk Protein. Aerated with Nitrous Oxide and Nitrogen. Contains an aerating device(Widget). Now that I've typed all that out...I've decided it isn't even worth mentioning how it tasted: the mention of nitrogen should be sufficient to put anyone off. So, if you feel like trying the Kenco Cappio, try making your own Instant Coffee with Milk, chilling it and sweetening to taste if desired. It will cost less and I'm sure be much healthier for the system. Thumbs down for Kraft Foods this time.
