*Had an unusually interesting morning so far.
*Two completely different patients on exactly the same medication phoned within 30 minutes of each other with exactly the same query. *Twilight Zone Music*
*Not only that, but another phone call from XXX who came in last night to collect her prescriptions. In a major state of panic, she denies that I dispensed her week's supply of methadone. Yeah right. Of course I did. I remember distinctly supplying the item to her, especially as it was 8:40pm and I was dying to get home! Sooo we checked the security camera footage and sure enough she did collect the stuff. Pfft. From the tone of her voice I do believe that she is no longer in possession of the methadone, so where is it? *Twilight Zone Replay*
*Oh, do I get to add the fact that I've had a prescription presented to me for a medicine which no longer exists? The solution was discontinued a long while ago, but crystals remain available. Dear Dr XXX, please could you prescribe an alternative (Hint hint the crystals)? Well erm, how do you normally dispense this? (I just said that the crystals are available). ARGH. So erm, how would a doctor advise his patient on using Pott Permang Crystals?
*How about a dose for a child which is meant to be 2.5mg being prescribed 0.5mg a day? Boy, that's not going to do him any good whatsover!
*And, lol, now ... a lady feeling faint whilst shopping complains of pains in her right side. Uh oh, quick, Roger, call an ambulance. They're on their way.
*Its only 11:57am :P
