Some say that blood is thicker than water.
Water: a simple molecule consisting of a single oxygen atom joined to two hydrogen by a single bond here and a single bond there.
Blood: a complicated mixture of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and plasma. I'll be darned if I go into the molecular structure here.
I see it this way:
Water: Pure, fresh, clear & so able to quench that undying thirst
Blood: Pure -in its own way, fresh- in its own way, not clear at all & totally unable to quench that undying thirst
