Thank God
You do not realise what you have been saved from
How do you know what events in the Unseen you would have had to face?
Also - whoever he was - your time with him was special
As it was time granted by God
In that time -
There was a great deal of learning going on
Believe it or not
You both have taught one another things
And that is what you must remember
He came into your life to teach you
As so did you
Humans are the tools of teaching
Fate uses us to teach one another
Nothing JUST HAPPENS
God has a plan
And there are reasons
For meeting people
It is obviously difficult as we are emotional beings
Not just lumps of flesh
BUT
Essentially the same God who created you
Created your scenario
And sometimes we must experience scenarios with a risk or disclaimer that they may
Not end up the way we want them to
We can only do the 'here and now'
We cannot predict the future
And also
Remember -
There is someone BETTER
Who you will meet
You just need to remember to decode what life sends your way
Life is full of messages
But we are given the freedom to decode as we wish
Even if he only taught you that there are good people out there
Isn't that a great teaching?
Or how do you know that what you have taught him will help him so greatly in his life
When things end in this manner - it is usually to open the door of opportunities that you REALLY deserve
Sometime we dont realise what is ACTUALLY good for us
And then fate intervenes
It's almost like being stopped in your tracks
Don't you recognise that God is saying something through these events?
Identify what it is that is troubling you the most
Break it down
And tackle it bit by bit
He is gone because he was not meant to stay
Don’t you see that?
This was the only period he was supposed to stay
Istikhara is for Guidance
And God has Guided you
In all two years
One of the misunderstandings of istikhara :
We all forget this part
When we ask God that if its not good for me -
GIVE ME SOMETHING BETTER AND GIVE ME THE ABILITY TO ACCEPT IT
That last part is very important
As when things don’t work out
We are entitled to a safety-net of having the sakinah transcend into our heart
We KNOW that He will give us that ABILITY
Yes
He will
Believe it or not -
Only a few months will be hard -
If that
You will recover sooner than you think
That is -
If your istikhara was of good quality
Which im sure it was
Seriously
Don’t doubt your healing ability
We are stronger than we think
God Almighty created our solutions within us
He said
And We will show you signs from the furthest Heavens and from your own beings -
So that it comes clear to you that THIS is the TRUTH
So what is happening to you is for your ultimate growth, for you to be closer to the Ultimate Truth
You have no option
But to believe it.
-
And as snail listened to Peaceful's words of wisdom, she took that tiny step
and leapt
back
into the sea of life
into the sea
of His mercy
inshaAllah
Ya Rahmaan, Ya Raheem

You do have someone better already...you have Allah.
The reason Allah sends such tests to those He loves is two-fold: 1) to turn one's heart from the dunya and 2)to make one's heart become attached to Him.
For the person for whom their heart is attached to Allah, Allah Himself provides for their needs. For the person for whom their heart is attached to other than Allah, all they receive is sorrows and griefs in this world and the next.
The difference between the two on the Day of the Judgement will be immense...and those of the former will be in sheer relief that they were not made to be of the latter. Those of the latter are those who have been deceived by the life of this world...
You also have the means - and the person (the one in Jordan *cough*) - to make your heart attached to Allah. Take those means.
May Allah make our hearts attached only to Him. Ameen.
Ameen. I just pray that these experiences are indeed tests and not punishments. And yes, slowly, I am detaching myself from this world...after all...time is running out. True happiness is being next in the shawarma queue...
mmm...shawarma..
baj your posts are starting to worry me :( hope you're well. I'm going to buy you a light-box in case you're getting seasonal affective disorder [sad]
:|
so true. have you heard the song unanswered prayers. very strong words.
...the shawarmas here aren't halal anymore...grr
As for tests vs punishments, you should look at the last two years, suspend your own inclinations and opinions, and set the period against the shariah.
If it violated the shariah, even slightly, then tawba is neccesary or else things will get worse regardless of the fact that it's all over...if it didn't violate the shariah, then it was just a test...khalas!
And Allah knows best
Oh Bhaji-Jaan!
Raat gai
Baat gai
Move on to a new dawn & Know that every discomfort will lead to a more truer, deeper self-actualisation x x x
