Another GRR Pakistani People Post!
Left Ammi's fabric at the new-found tailor's last Wednesday; was told it would be ready in about 3 days. Finally, this evening, it was ready for collection. Went to pick it up: No buttons on the sleeves, 3/4 length instead of full sleeves, and a border on the bottom of the kameez instead of the piping requested. The dubbatta had been machine-hemmed very carelessly and I believe has been slightly ripped at the edge. :( More? The shalwaar wasn't cut properly, but it will do. The paancha had straight lines, Ammi prefers designed paanchas, but it will do. There was nowhere visible for the azaarband to be slid through...until detailed investigation revealed a hidden gap! All that for the enormous equivalent of 1800 rupees...a perfect suit from the darzan back in Pakistan would have cost just 300 rupees. Gosh...I think I'm beginning to sound Pakistani!
